FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA®) is an appointed company to operate a comprehensive Foreign Workers’ Medical Examination Screening System in Peninsular Malaysia on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, through its first Concession Agreement since 17 September 1997.
Established on 17 September 1997, FOMEMA® opened its doors into operations in Kuala Lumpur.
The company was a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the Malaysian Government’s investment arm, until late 2011 & subsequently was divested to the private sector as part of the Malaysian Government’s business liberalisation programme under FOMEMA Sdn. Bhd. (FOMEMA®).
Continued to expanding our footprints with 4 Regional Offices and Private Employment Agencies throughout Peninsular Malaysia. Extensive FOMEMA Panel Service Providers medical network comprises 3247 panel clinics, 931 X-Ray centres, 146 Laboratories and 112 Radiologists throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
Through the mandatory regular health screening programmes, we aim to preserve the excellent health condition of foreign workers throughout their employment in Malaysia. Gear towards the underlying preventive measures of non-communicable and communicable diseases to ensure early detections and prevention awareness is scaled up at the highest standard.

Our Quality Management System (QMS) is in accordance with the requirement of ISO 9001:2015 certification that provides a framework for a risk-based approach in managing opportunities and mitigation risk, which has been developed to enable full integration of foreign worker medical examination and health screening with industry best practices and Ministry of Health’s specific requirements.
